Ben started in event marketing but quickly rose to the role of Event Director, and then Portfolio Director. He is responsible for FSM's work in the fertility sector. This includes consumer healthcare events taking place across the globe as Wish for a Baby, alongside business networking events, The Fertility Forums.

Before events, Ben was a teacher for 7 years, leading Film and Media Studies at a secondary school. He left that career behind to study for his master’s degree and undertook research on Chinese Cinema for the University of Kent. This included some time in Shanghai. He has also worked as a freelance writer and videographer.

Film and music are Ben’s biggest passions. He’s a singer songwriter in his regularly gigging band and has been known to talk on experimental and the avant garde at UK film festivals. For his pains, he’s also a lifelong Norwich City fan.
