I’ve worked in the events industry since 2012, initially with ITE plc (which then became Hyve) and now as CFO of dmg events. I love the industry, its energy, how it’s people-driven, with diverse teams working hard together to deliver great experiences for our participants, and then celebrating together as show teams, company teams, and industry teams.  I admire how meritocratic the events industry is, with people from all backgrounds building successful and rewarding careers, based on talent and hard work.

I qualified as an accountant 20 years ago and benefit from the continuing support of the accounting industry’s Institute. I strongly believe in the similar role of the AEO in nurturing our industry’s future, providing opportunities for training, knowledge sharing (formally and informally), connecting people and inspiring the continued success of the UK events industry.

I have enjoyed the last 6 months as an Interim AEO Council member and hope to be able to continue contributing as a fully elected Council member.
